Eating Disorders

Multidisciplinary Care

Have you ever felt completely at odds with your own body?  Have you struggled to feel at peace with food? I would love to help you experience freedom in this area. I utilize Health at Every Size (HAES), anti-diet, and Intuitive Eating (IE) frameworks to support clients of all shapes and sizes as they walk toward eating disorder recovery. I strongly believe in a multidisciplinary approach, and work with medical doctors and registered dietitians to ensure that my clients are receiving whole-body-and-mind care. There is hope and relief available to you through eating disorder recovery!

EMDR

True Trauma Recovery

Are you completely overwhelmed with life and working hard just make it through your day? Do anxiety and fear feel like they are nearly constant? You may be experiencing the after effects of trauma.  Though we often think of trauma as major disruptions to life, like living through combat, a car accident, or a natural disaster, our bodies can develop traumatic reactions to all kinds of events. Trauma has an amazing ability to affect almost every facet of our lives. If you have felt stuck and bogged down in your trauma recovery journey, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing may be right for you. EMDR is an evidence-based trauma therapy that goes beyond talk therapy to help the brain heal from deep wounds.

Hi, I'm Lizzie.

MS, LAC

My name is Lizzie. I am an LAC working towards certification as an Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). I believe that you are the expert in your own experience, and that you have a beautiful story to tell. I love working with clients who are willing to do the hard work of digging into the emotions and beliefs that keep us stuck in cycles of stress. My biggest passion is helping clients dismantle shame. I am a firm believer that we have all been directly affected by shameful messages about food, our bodies, and our sexuality, and I want everyone to be able to experience freedom in these areas. I love working with dietitians, families, pediatricians, and anyone else needed to create holistic, quality care for my clients. I am eager to get started, and I hope you are too!
